When You Were Lovely

Renowned international playwright Tilda Ransome loves provocative, unorthodox characters, so when she’s commissioned to write a play about her mentor and celebrated British artistic director Lewis Stanton, she isn’t put off by his colourful reputation. They’ve shared many bottles of wine over the years, and while he might have some lurid tales under his belt Tilda knows he’s wicked, but harmless. 

Away from the stage, dramatic news arrives from Australia, forcing a tense family reunion. As Tilda steps back into her past startling discoveries cast a new light upon her relationships as an adult. Things take a more troubling turn as Tilda pursues her research for Lewis’ play and finds information that leaves her conflicted. Could her old friend and hero in fact be the villain of her story, and if so, Tilda his unwitting accomplice?
